Are you an African small or medium enterprise looking to scale your business? Do you need business support, resources and funds to grow your business? Then our Business Support Program is specifically tailored for you.

What is BAYI Business Support Program?

The BAYI Business Support Program comprises of three (3) main stages:

  • Stage 1 – Training Program
  • Stage 2 - Fellowship
  • Stage 3 – Mentorship and Funding

Undertake a 8 -week training program, which involves practical learnings with the following courses:

  2. 2. Org Structure & Succession Planning
  3. 3.Financial Management
  4. 4. Marketing and Branding
  5. 5. Trade Finance
  6. 6. Strategic Management
  7. 7. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Training
  8. 8.Business Automation
  9. 9. Digital Finance
  10. 10. Solutions to Legal challenges

Your business is assigned an experienced Business Consultant to act as your Fellowand guide for a 6-month period. The Fellow will ensure all learnings from the program are applied to the business and used for day-to-day operations. The Fellow may be assigned one or two interns from a local university to shadow the Business Consultant as a cross-training for students.

You are assigned a mentor who takes over from the Business Consultants and acts as an Advisor for your business. During this mentorship stage, your business will then be selected to receive capital funds from the foundation as a debt to be repaid over an agreed timeframe.

The Foundation will help you develop functional expertise and implement the best practices in essential business growth elements in areas such as Finance, Operations, Human Resource, and Marketing. It will also help in negotiating contracts with suppliers and customers, developing marketing linkages, and designing market adverts to promote brand awareness.

Business Plan development

At the start of the Business Support Program, we will conduct an assessment of your business to develop a financeable business plan by determining the business’ risks and opportunities. At BAYI Foundation, we believe the first step to growing a business is getting a clear understanding of the current business status and its industry.

Understanding the importance of a strong Environmental Social & Governance (ESG) Plan

The program will help SMEs to integrate strong ESG plans to generate economic value, prevent environmental and health risks and ensure compliance with local legislation and operational requirements.

It will also helps you in formalizing your business, developing a working organizational structure, and planning succession for your business.
